About Ballyconnell Medical Practice
Welcome to Ballyconnell Medical Practice.
We provide a wide range of medical services to medical card and private patients including antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery, vaccinations, child health & teen health. We believe in providing a holistic approach to the care of our patients in an efficient manner, using up to date evidence-based medicine, in a welcoming environment.

We provide clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, asthma and COPD.

Our surgery is wheelchair accessible and parking is available outside the surgery.
​
The clinic was opened by Dr Geoffrey Bourke in 2000. Since then, Dr Bourke has provided an extensive service to the West Cavan area. The clinic now also provides a dedicated women’s health clinic covering menopause, contraception, LARC ( implanon and coil insertions - hormonal and copper coils) led by Dr Nicola Fortune. Dr Ciaran Henry conducts a dedicated minor surgery clinic, as well as providing a joint injection service.
